Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Social Worker is needed to provide supportive services in schools located in Waukegan, IL. This contract position involves working on-site 2 to 3 days per week, with a strong preference for 3 days. The role primarily serves two schools, with additional support to other schools as needed. The contract is effective immediately and continues through June 5, 2026, with emergency days pending. Key Responsibilities: Deliver social work services to students at multiple schools within the assigned district. Collaborate with educational staff to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Develop and implement intervention plans, conduct assessments, and facilitate family engagement. Provide crisis intervention when necessary and support students facing emergency situations. Maintain accurate records of all interactions and case management activities. Qualifications: Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) is required. Previous experience working as a school social worker preferred. Ability to work in-person and cover multiple school sites as assigned. Strong communication and interpersonal skills tailored to a school environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in handling diverse student situations.
