Job Description:
Duties The Counseling & Career Development Center is seeking an
adjunct/part-time Counselor to perform a variety of counseling
services to facilitate the academic, career and personal growth of
Moraine Valley students. Duties include providing individual and
group counseling, intervening with academically at-risk students,
consulting with faculty and staff regarding student concerns,
attending to students in crisis, assisting students facing
financial emergencies, facilitating workshops and seminars, and
supporting departmental programming. Qualifications The position
requires a strong commitment to promoting student learning,
development and success through holistic counseling services to
meet the changing needs of a highly diverse student population.
Applicants should have academic training and or experience with
counseling multicultural and linguistically diverse students.
Individuals with fluency in more than one language, especially in
Spanish, are encouraged to apply. Applicants with a passion for
working with academically at-risk students are desired.
