Job Description:

We are looking for an outgoing, self-motivated, and enthusiastic Event Specialist to complete our team!An Event Specialist represents The Odyssey in planning and the execution of magnificent events in our 11,000+ square foot banquet facility. Your main goal will be to generate excitement and boost banquet sales, along with organizing and ensuring a smooth transition from the front of the house details to be executed by the Banquet Managers. You will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and providing excellent customer service. The Event Specialist position is an essential role in the booking of clients, as well as, development of details throughout the planning process. Responsibilities Include:

• Tour facility and grounds with clients
• Field general inquiries regarding package, room availability, etc.
• Assist in day-to-day administrative duties responsible for planning and executing flawless events
• Work with clients on menu options, set up details, floor plans, etc.
• Highly detail oriented
• Multitasking with event details, clients, and coworkers
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally to coworkers and clients
• Professional business attire Candidate must be able to work weekends and most holidays, as events will be booked on these dates. Compensation of this position will be based upon experience.
