As a Bartender for the Evolve Nightclub at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will craft exceptional drink experiences that delight and surprise our guests. Your expertise in both classic cocktails and innovative concoctions will ensure that every sip exceeds expectations, making you an essential part of their memorable stay. What will you be doing? · Set up and stock the bar daily, including beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce · Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure quality · Greet guests, take drink orders, mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control · Understand drink menu, wine list, ingredients, preparation, and service · Efficiently use POS and manage bar inventory · Handle cash transactions, verify charges, and process guest checks · Perform general cleaning tasks using standard products to meet health standards and maintain glassware · Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed · Perform other duties as assigned, such as assisting security with disorderly guests and acting as a server when guests want to be served in the bar area What we are looking for: · High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 to serve alcohol · Minimum one year of bartending experience in fine dining; extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer required · Flexible schedule required, including availability on Fridays and Saturdays · Strong communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry · Ability to obtain necessary licenses; bartending certificate required · Must lift trays up to 35 lbs. and stand for extended periods · Basic math skills for cash register operations and understanding portion sizes · Proficient in English for guest communication and order taking; basic writing skills for requisitions and balance sheets What’s in it for you? · A free, well-balanced meal every shift · Discounted gym membership · Room discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts · Discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts restaurants, cafes, lounges, golfing, skiing, and spa · Free parking · “Two for one” movie theater coupons at Marcus Theatres · Ability to grow your career and transfer from one property to another · Early wage access · Paid time off · Flexible scheduling · Medical, dental, and vision insurance (offered after 30 days of employment), company-paid life insurance, employee assistance program offer, and 401k with employer match · And more!
