Essential Functions: Provide a continuum of counseling services to
individuals with alcohol/drug related conditions and/or problems
using a variety of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based
practices. Coordinate and facilitate group and individual
counseling sessions (ASAM Levels 0.5, I, II.1, continuing care,
DUI), and psychoeducation in community-based settings. Responsible
for an assigned caseload and the associated documentation,
including assessment, treatment planning, continuing care, case
management, and discharge plans; monitor progress and participants’
response to treatment. Communicate with referral sources to provide
status reports and completion/discharge documentation. Maintain
weekly performance productivity. Demonstrate professional, positive
behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating
clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative
organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest,
and fair manner. Position Qualifications: High school diploma or
equivalent required. Associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree in
social work, psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in substance use field
preferred. LSW, LPC, LCSW, LCPC or CADC required, or must obtain
within two (2) years of hire date. Proficient speaking, reading,
and writing Spanish preferred. Annual TB test and biohazard
training required. Experience working with adolescents preferred.
Knowledge and experience using DSM-5 and ASAM criteria to make
accurate diagnoses of substance use disorders and
treatment/intervention recommendations required. Demonstrated
proficiency in EHR documentation and review preferred. Experience
establishing and maintaining collaborative community partnerships
preferred. Experience using Zoom or other telehealth platform
preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear,
comprehensible manner, verbally and written. Excellent
organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including
experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint) along with other related software. Background check
clearance required. Valid driver’s license, in good standing for
the state of residency preferred. Access to reliable transportation
preferred. Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage,
bodily injury and property damage preferred.
