Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,240 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Hematology Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 3 years of prior oncology clinic experience and travel experience required License: Wisconsin or compact license required in hand upon submission Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Oncology clinic experience - Strong communication skills - Ability to educate patients and families Description: The RN will be responsible for triaging patient phone calls. They will answer My Chart messages. Entering physician orders including labs and diagnostics will be part of the role. The nurse will follow up on treatment plans and genetic testing. Arranging and coordinating diagnostics for patients is required. Patient education including chemotherapy talks will be conducted. The RN will work closely with infusion and radiation teams to coordinate patient care. Collaboration with physicians to support patient care will be essential. The RN will assist Advanced Practice Providers (APP) in their duties. Tracking INR patients with labs and medications is necessary. Following iron infusion patients will also be part of the responsibilities. Oncology experience is essential for this position. The clinic operates in a fast-paced environment. Interdisciplinary support from various departments such as IV teams and pharmacy will be available. The average daily census will involve around 45 patients. Familiarity with charting systems, particularly Epic, is preferred. Prior charge experience is advantageous. Good judgment in assessing medication tolerance and managing patient education is vital. The RN will recognize and communicate abnormal lab values. Adherence to isolation precautions and use of personal protective equipment is a requirement. Advanced directives, hospice care, and understanding alterations in patient conditions are part of the role. Skills in managing symptoms such as constipation, nausea, and neuropathy are necessary.
