state-of-the-art labsWhat We Are Looking ForThe Senior Reliability
Quality Engineer will maximize customer experience and assure
customer loyalty by driving integration of quality principles and
techniques into all phases of the product lifecycle through
advanced quality planning for optimized processes and systems,
collection and analysis of data, structured problem solving, lean
techniques, complaint resolution, quality training, coaching and
conducting of audits. They will drive continual improvement to
reduce waste in processes, solutions, and systems. Under general
direction, this role will apply defined procedures and criteria in
carrying out quality related engineering or operations projects,
tasks, and deliverables. The right candidate will be capable of
leading/managing small to medium projects in scope from start to
finish in accordance with the company's policies, including
developing, executing, and reporting results on test plans to
specifications and technical standards to assure the resulting
offering meets requirements and are fit for the intended use
cases.What You Will Do
- Apply advanced quality planning tools such as FMEA, boundary
diagrams, interface analysis, process capability analysis, control
plans (including optimized statistical sampling plans), mistake
proofing, design for X (DFx e.g. manufacturability, assembly, test,
servicing), product lifecycle planning, measurement system
analysis, supplier qualification and PPAPs (Production Part
Approval Process), where required to assure requirements are met or
exceeded.
- Incorporate reliability principles into specifications, test
plans, and other relevant documents.
- Consider the human factor components and their impact on
quality initiatives e.g. the change acceleration process (CAP)
ergonomics, appropriate corrective and preventive actions for
inadvertent human errors, etc.
- Develop, operate and maintain quality control systems
(inspection and test methods) which assure approved quality levels
and standards to meet or exceed customers' requirements.
- Lead and/or participate in quality audits (internal and
external) of processes and solutions
- Perform supplier quality management activities including
supplier performance assessment, dispositioning purchased product
and supplier certification.
- Apply statistical methods for product & process control.
- Resolve quality problems (e.g. customer complaints, supplier
problems, internal failures) and reduce quality costs using
structured problem solving with closed loop corrective and
preventive actions.
- Apply metrology and statistical measurement to problem analysis
and proposes metrology and statistical methods improve quality
- Analyze data relevant to quality inspections and initiatives
and generates improvement conclusions and reports
- Drive use of analysis, testing, and performance evaluation to
improve product and process reliability and system effectiveness.
This includes planning, analysis (allocation, prediction,
substances, design, design margin, and derating), FMEA (design and
process), testing, field data collection and analysis, and system
effectiveness.
- Work with design and manufacturing (including buyouts, as
applicable) on reliability improvement projects in support of
complaint reduction and yield improvement.What You Will Bring
- Required Degree: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Years of Experience: 5-7 years
- Reliability testing. Use of test chambers. Thermal, Vibration,
Drop, Step Stress, Accelerated Life Test, etc. (required)
- Statistical analysis: fitting distributions, DOE, ANOVA, SPC.
Experience in manufacturing or design environment. (preferred)
- Required Certifications and/or Licenses: ASQ CRE (Certified
Reliability Engineer) required
- ASQ CRE or technical equivalent within 18 months of hiringWe
