Heights School District 23 has an opening for a School Social Work
Intern position for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. School Social
Work Interns will gain valuable experience in the following areas:
counseling services, special education evaluations,
social/emotional/behavioral problem-solving, MTSS team intervention
review, teacher consultation, student crisis, and FBA/BIP
development and implementation in a small district. Each school has
a special education self-contained life skills program as well as a
shared social/emotional learning program that the intern may gain
experience from. Intern will be provided with a small stipend for
their work. Requirements: Must have completed all required
coursework and practicums completed in order to qualify to enter
the School Social Work Intern position. Documentation of
requirements from the intern's college/university is required to be
provided to the district and supervisor. Additional qualifications
include a desire to have a variety of different experiences, a
willingness to work with students with a variety of disabilities,
possess effective communication and collaboration skills, and be
flexible with job responsibilities. Application Procedure: Must
