We might be pioneers in the industry, but our story has just begun. _Please visit our website to learn more about our organization._ ABOUT THE ROLE This role is an integral part of the finance and accounting team that will support the strategic and operating plans of the company. The Finance Manager is accountable for leading a team of Finance and Accounting professionals in a variety of financial, accounting and reporting functions including, but not limited to general ledger, accounts payable, sales tax compliance, compliance, establishing and maintaining standard costs, ensuring the integrity of inventory movements, preparation, and reporting of KPI's, capital spending, fixed assets, budgeting, analysis and preserving the integrity of internal controls. This position typically works traditional hours, but occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays maybe required to successfully meet customers' needs. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Provide leadership and management to direct reports in the finance and accounting departments Supervise accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate processing of authorized expenditures Ensure compliance with fiscal policies, including disbursement authorizations and supporting documentation Oversee accounts receivable to ensure invoicing is done accurately and in a timely fashion Regulate collection activities to ensure payments are received on time and discrepancies are resolved promptly Coordinate daily financial operations, systems, and controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data Ensure that general ledger accounts are accurately maintained, reconciled, and analyzed Responsible for the review and preparation of journal entries to the accounting system Administer periodic close, forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting processes Maintain customer pricing model in line with profitability targets and audit related pricing activities Responsible for internal and external reporting as well as ad-hoc analysis and reports Prepare and submit timely reporting packages to management and external stakeholders Ensure that all Finance projects and other deliverables are completed in a timely fashion Act as a strategic business partner to the company and actively participate in management objectives Lead finance department towards leadership's plans, initiatives, and recommendations Ensure the highest standards of ethics, corporate governance, and compliance are met Implement and maintain effective internal controls to protect the assets of the company Identify opportunities for financial improvement projects and lead implementations Ensure that financial policies and procedures follow company requirements Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates year-round TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: Ability to collect and analyze data, problem solve and make decisions in a timely manner Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Ability to work effectively in a team environment EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: BS or BA in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience 5+ years of related experience in a financial management role Manufacturing experience preferred Food industry experience preferred SAP or equivalent ERP experience preferred PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
